Dr Yineng Wang
Dr Justina Ugwah is the leader in the commercial development of CLISTEPROBE. Her technical PhD was in prototype development and clinical study in exercised breast tissue. She has completed the SFI i-Corps, EI KTI lean start and New Frontiers programme as well as an Ideate Ireland 2022 finalist. She has a green belt in Lean six sigma. She has worked as a business development manager in the aviation sector of the downstream oil industry.
Dr Eric Moore is the Principal Investigator and is an expert in bio/sensing and smart system integration. Eric is an expert in bio/sensing and smart system integration, with years of success in grant and funding programmes in this discipline. He has completed UCCs SPRINT programme, SFI I-Corps programme and EI KTI Lean Start training course as part of the commercial development of SMARTProbe. SFI Future Innovation Prize Award Finalist 2019. Ideate Ireland finalist 2022.
Dr Yineng Wang is the Chief Technical lead and has been working on the CLISTEPROBE technology for several years and has expertise in rapid prototyping and biomedical device design and development. He was in a Research Engineer position at the MedPhab Project, cooperating with Stryker Inc. (Cork) and Philips Innovation Service. (Eindhoven, Netherlands) to develop an in-vivo liver biopsy device with smart sensor integration technology for clinical use in a hospital environment.

Professor Martin O’Sullivan is the clinical lead as one of the end users of the technology and provides insight into the use and operation of the device. He is a well-renowned breast surgeon with 27 years of experience in breast disease management both in North America and Ireland. He is a leading breast cancer surgeon for the Southwest region and Ireland. SFI Future Innovation Prize Award Finalist 2019.
Dr Brian O’Donnell is a consultant anesthetist who brings his knowledge of needle use and expertise as he has been involved in needle sensor development for ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block administration investigated in a pig model. He is an integral part of the team as an advisor on the use and operation of the devices from a clinical perspective.
Isobel Carey is the societal champion and patient advocate as CLISTEPROBE recognizes the importance of patient participation and involvement in R&D of a medical device. She brings to the team her experiences of the huge mental impact as a family member of a breast cancer patient.
